The Holy Trinity

Trinity is a young man but that hasn’t stopped him in his exciting life. He has enough money to support his grandchildren’s children but the real question is will he do just that? I believe he truly would if he could but he is in a dark cell that barely captures sunlight. All he has are memories of him being with his family to keep him warm because his cell “buddy” doesn’t like to share. Now you must be asking “Narrator how did this great guy end up here?” I would like to answer your question with another question, Why was he picked up due to the color of his skin?

Today is Trinity’s last day here in the realm we all think is so indestructible and yet he is the proof in the pudding. He is to be hanged for conspiracy of harming the country’s leader. He wrote something that went viral and it was interpreted the wrong way and plus he isn’t white. He was only telling the truth about a false shepherd leading his sheep into fires they cant put out. Trinity really must be thinking “ putting my hand over my heart wasn’t enough proof of my loyalty?” Poor Trinity has just asked for the priest in the system as he licks his chops from a decent meal.

Trinity is unloading his sins to a man in a black robe who is paid to be there to “console” him on how he should spend his final breaths. Trinity dries up all his tears from a cloth the holy father has given him in his time of need. I feel sorry for Trinity because he didn’t act on anything but it was simple letters formed dangerously. A man has only his family and when that is taken away he only has his honor. Trinity knows that before he gets the sweet needle they won’t even say his name he will only be a number.

They are ready for Trinity but the real question is if Trinity is ready for them? I don’t think anyone can be ready for what awaits him and he knows that as he walks into the room. He only sees the executioner mask on the doctor who is getting Trinity “comfortable” on his slab. He turns his head to see his wife traumatically crying into her hands as random people try to calm her down. “ Say my name before you do it. My name is Trinity please?” He says to the doctor as he tightens the arm restraints.

“ Prisoner number 04097 aka Trinity Aslan is to be sentenced to death by lethal injection.” The doctor says as he begins to put the needle in Trinity’s arm. Trinity’s instinct is to look at his wife who begins to fight the guards to get to the glass. The heat burns his nerves as he gasps for air but instead just blows out air. His wife is being pulled away from the glass as Trinity struggles around for a quick second. She becomes silent as she hears her husband’s last breath exit from his body.
