So im planning on financing a 2013 volkswaggen cc either through the dealer or a bank, which ever offers the lowest APR. im planning on dropping 7k on one that costs 25k, my goal is to get the lowest monthly payments possible with the longest term i can get. I want to make $250 payments a month, BUT i would be making larger payments with the excess going towards principle. I would also drop a couple thousands on the car a couple times a year to speed the payments…only reason i want $250 monthly payments is so that i can have that flexibility and comfort knowing that i can make low payments when times are tough and money gets tight. He says he has sent out a few resumes and done some networking as well as had a conversation with a headhunter. He thinks most jobs out there are beneath him and that he wants something of his level of education and experience, even though he’s basically been fired from his last few jobs. He has been living well by borrowing from his parents and living off his credit cards and now it has caught up with him. He spends most of his time at the gym. He isn’t paying child support or anything else to his exwife. He just retained a lawyer to help him file for bankruptcy. He says the lawyer assured him it would be no problem. I’m amazed. Can you really do that? Don’t you have to show that you have been trying to get a job or have been trying to live within your means? I’m not sure if he really can get another high-paying professional job with his history, but it wouldn’t kill him to do something less glamorous. Is he going to be rewarded for his living irresponsibly all this time?””

I had a 638 credit score. Not great, but certainly not horrible. I got the loan at 30 percent interest though for 15 months, and that’s over double my down payment. I heard there is a law that makes it so that Military cannot be charged more than 6 or 7 percent interest? Is this true? If it is, or not, what is the best advice for maybe relieving this huge financial burden.””

When I found one of my credit accounts incorrectly showing a chargeoff in February 2004 I wrote to Experian and asked that they fix it since a bankruptcy trumps a chargeoff.
