Stay in Time

Mind over matter!

Having a quiet mind is actually the main job we have to accomplish in life. It is not enough to achieve this just once. We have to create routines for ourselves. We should also integrate this into any work we do. This way, we can understand life so that we can achieve our goal and thereby be successful. In this way, we can increase productivity and save more time. But first of all, we must train the mind, because it is everything.

When I am present, I focus on just a simple thing. One small act at a time. I will try and fail, and do it all over again. But I can learn to become better at what I practice. Most importantly: do not get discouraged. It takes a long time to get proficient at what you are doing. The rule of thumb for any high skill is 10.000hours.

Draining the brain, into emptiness is harder than it seems, though. I know that sitting still and meditating seems very intimidating for people who don’t practice that regularly. Before meditation, it is always necessary to quiet your mind. Never criticize your meditation until you have finished the meditation.

Being still in mind is interwoven with mental, spiritual, and physical health, because you begin to realize your stillness comes from listening to yourself — and trusting yourself, too.
