Mediocre

I don’t mean to sound like projectiles fired
Korea insulted,

but truths reside in my inner voice and the truth is
life is mediocre.

Life can argue with fervor otherwise, I do not
dispute colors of emerald lakes nor lovers intertwined
but if you meet me in the middle,
you will understand my understanding the balance of right
and wrongs leave a soggy trail of lack luster
and prescribed how to’s for the day to day getting by.

Filter the light in your soul if one could
reveal what was buried underneath, you would
understand why mediocre is a compliment
at bombs that are thrown your way on the inner
side of your being.

Truths are subject to interpretation
but your discussion of cooking rice for the feeding
supper time and breakfast routines,
you will understand that mediocre is a compliment
even for all of it’s blessings.
