Voices of Resiliency Submission Guidelines

If you are looking for a place to share your stories about childhood trauma, while hoping to inspire others, then please come write for us.

Thank you for your interest in writing for us. I am sad that a publication like this needs to exist, but I believe it is something that trauma survivors deserve; a safe place to share our stories. I hope that your words will help someone else on their journey of healing; that we may provide a little inspiration for those who need it. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind when submitting your work.

If you have not published anything on this page before, please email voicesofresiliency@gmail.com. Include your Medium profile link. Once you are a writer for the publication, then please follow Medium’s process for submitting your work to the publication. VOR will only accept pieces in draft form.

I will add new writers within 48 hours of the request. Submitted pieces will have a turnaround time of 72 hours. If you do not hear from us within that time frame, please submit a private note on your draft, or publish it elsewhere.

We also ask that you only submit one draft per day.

We reserve the right to change any draft submitted to the publication. This includes tweaks to the title/subtitle, pictures, and tags.

Edits for readability may include grammatical and/or spelling corrections, or the rewording of any sentences or phrases that are unclear. We will leave you a note about larger changes and wait for your response before publishing. If we don’t hear from you within three days of our original note, we will reject the piece.
